Mit der Entwicklung von Kathetersystemen und Pumpen zur kontinuierlichen Abgabe von Analgetika ist es möglich geworden, spinal wirksame Peptide zur Schmerzlinderung einzusetzen. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt erste Erfahrungen mit der Verwendung des Somatostatinanalogons Octreotid bei Krebspatienten.
