Abstract
Fifty percent of the bone seeking tracer is normally excreted by the kidneys. Retention of the tracer in the renal parenchyma is not normal, but is seen in a wide variety of conditions. The mechanism for this is not well established. Visualisation of the renal pelvis is normal, but with well hydrated children may be minimal. Only a few examples of abnormalities will be illustrated in this chapter.
