Zusammenfassung
Aus der täglichen Praxis ist die erfolgreiche Behandlung einer Frau mit vorzeitiger Wehentätigkeit in Form der Tokolyse und damit die erfolgreiche Vermeidung der Frühgeburt sowie die Verlängerung des Schwangerschaftsalters sehr wohl bekannt. Auch die Tokolyse bei interkurrenten Störungen während der Geburt hat sich klinisch als eine höchst erfolgreiche Maßnahme erwiesen. Für den klinisch tätigen Geburtshelfer ist daher die gestellte Frage nach der wirksamen Prophylaxe der Frühgeburt klar mit „ja“ zu beantworten.
