Zusammenfassung

Trotz der Abnahme der perinatalen und neonatalen Mortalitäts- und Morbiditätsraten in den letzten Jahren — ohne Zweifel mitbedingt durch die Fortschritte der neonatalen Intensivmedizin — bleiben Frühgeburt, Mehrlinge, Mangelgeburten und BEL die eigentliche Herausforderung an die klinische Geburtshilfe für die nächste Zeit.
