Alle Welt will die Schulen ans Netz bringen: Bill Clinton hat sich vorgenommen, bis zum Jahr 2000 a l l e n Klassenzimmern in den USA Zugang zum Internet zu verschaffen. Im Oktober 1996 startete dort die Aktion „Twenty-First Century Teacher’s“, bei der Hunderttausend netzkundige Lehrerinnen und Lehrer jeweils fünf Kollegen mit den Möglichkeiten der Telekommunikation vertraut machen sollen.
