Zusammenfassung

Die Notwendigkeit einer Diagnostik der erektilen Dysfunktion wird von den Experten im deutschsprachigen Raum kontrovers diskutiert: Auf der einen Seite stehen Kollegen, die dazu neigen, die Problematik der Störung auf die „Orthopädie“des Erektionsmechanismus zu reduzieren und SKAT als Allheilmittel propagieren (und gelegentlich sogar „ideale Substanzen“postulieren, ein Umstand, der ansonsten in der Pharmakologie unbekannt ist), aus dieser Konzeption dann konsequenterweise jede Diagnostik für überflüssig halten und unter Berufung auf den Allgemeinplatz des Zwangs zur „Kostenersparnis“den Patienten sofort SKAT applizieren. Auf der anderen Seite finden sich Kollegen, die auch beim 80 jährigen Diabetiker das komplette diagnostische Programm fordern, selbst wenn dies offensichtlich keine größere Konsequenz bezüglich der Therapieauswahl in diesem individuellen Fall mehr nach sich zieht.
