Zusammenfassung
Die immunsuppressive Wirkung parenteraler Fettemulsionen wird seit langem diskutiert. Potentielle Effekte werden auf vielfach ungesättigte ω-3-Fettsäuren zurückgeführt, die in freier Form die Funktion immunkompetenter Zellen in vitro beeinflussen [2] oder nach Verstoffwechselung zu Eikosanoiden als Lipidmediatoren immunmodulierende Eigenschaften entfalten [3]. Wir weisen erstmals in vivo nach, daß die Infusion des ω-3-Fettsäure-reichen Fischöls die Überlebenszeit von Rattenherzallotransplantaten verlängert und analysieren die immunsuppressiven Eigenschaften anhand morphologischer (zelluläres Infiltrationsmuster im Transplantat), zellbiologischer und biochemischer Variablen (Neutrophilen- und Thrombozytenfunktion, Profil der Mediatorbildung).
