Zusammenfassung
Die Qualität des Plasmas als Rohstoff und Ausgangsmaterial sowie die Virusabreicherungs- und -inaktivierungsmethoden im Rahmen des Herstellungsverfahrens waren und sind „tragende Säulen“ der Infektionssicherheit von Plasmapräparaten. Das Spender- und Plasmascreening wurde in der Vergangenheit stetig verbessert und hat heute einen Stand erreicht, bei dem die Inzidenz HIV-positiver Spenden bei ca. 1: 300 000 und die Inzidenz HBV- und HCV-positiver Spenden bei ca. 1: 100 000 liegt [28, 30]. Positiv getestete Plasmen werden verworfen, und als infiziert erkannte Spender werden dauerhaft von der Plasmaspende ausgeschlossen.
