Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff der Massivtransfusion ist in der Literatur nicht einheitlich definiert. Am häufigsten werden folgende 3 Definitionsmöglichkeiten herangezogen:

  1. 1.

    Transfusion von mehr als einem Sollblutvolumen innerhalb von 24 h,

  2. 2.

    Transfusion von mehr als einem Sollblutvolumen innerhalb von wenigen Stunden,

  3. 3.

    Transfusion von mehr als der Hälfte des Sollblutvolumens mit einer Geschwindigkeit von mehr als 1,5 ml/kg/min.
