Zusammenfassung

Trotz intensiver prophylaktischer Maßnahmen nehmen thromboembolische Erkrankungen infolge der Verlängerung der Lebenserwartung, einer Erweiterung der Indikation zu operativen Eingriffen und eines Anstiegs intensiv konservativer Therapiemaßnahmen ständig zu. Die Zahl der Thrombosekranken wächst weiterhin aufgrund der Zunahme schädlicher Verhaltensweisen, wie Übergewicht, mangelndes sportliches Training, vitaminarme Ernährung, Nikotinabusus und ungezielte Hormonmedikation. Daher ist es von großer Bedeutung, sowohl erbliche als auch erworbene Risikofaktoren zu erkennen, mit dem Ziel, ein individuelles Risikoprofil in gewissen Situationen aufzustellen, um eine individuelle Thromboseprophylaxe zu ermöglichen. Die Erkennung des individuellen Risikoprofils ist die Voraussetzung für eine gezielte primäre Prophylaxe.
