Zusammenfassung
Mit dem Begriff „erektile Dysfunktion“ werden chronische, über mindestens 6 Monate andauernde Erektionsstörungen bezeiehnet. Zumeist werden von dem Patienten noch Tumeszenzzunahmen berichtet, die volle Rigidität würde aber nicht mehr, oder nur noch sehr kurzzeitig, erreieht. Die Indizien der erektilen Dys- funktion zeigen einen stetigen Anstieg mit zunehmendem Lebensalter (ca. 30 % im 65. Lebensjahr) und eine hohe Prävalenz in bestimmten Risiko- gruppen: so finden sich bei 50 % der männlichen Diabetiker nach 5 Jahren und bei 25–30 % der Hypertoniker unter medikamentöser Therapie eine erektile Dysfunktion. Bei Patienten mit neurogenen Grunderkrankungen ist eine erektile Dysfunktion häufig anzutreffen. Bei querschnittgelähmten Patienten werden aber, in Abhängigkeit von der Höhe der Läsion, von vielen Patienten noch volle reflexogene Erektionen berichtet, die oft sogar einen Verkehr ermöglichen [3].
