Zusammenfassung
Eine neurogene Blasenfunktionsstörung kann schädigende Auswirkungen auf den oberen Harntrakt auslösen, sie kann kombiniert sein mit einer Harnwegsinfektion, einer Harnsteinbildung, mit Inkontinenz und kann letztendlieh zurn Nierenversagen führen. Zusätzlich zu diesen Folgeerscheinungen der Blasendysfunktion wird bei Patienten mit einer neurogenen Blasenstörung, die durch Katheter behandelt werden, Blasenkrebs weit häufiger gefunden als bei gleiehaltrigen normalen Kontrollpersonen [2]. Leider wird der Blasenkrebs bei diesen Patienten auch noch spät diagnostiziert und ist deshalb oft unbehandelbar. Daß neurogene Ausfälle eine Blasenfunktionsstörung auslösen und diese wiederurn Komplikationen hervorruft, ist bekannt, weniger bekannt ist jedoch die genaue Pathophysiologie dieser Funktionsstörung.
