Zusammenfassung
Die Baineophototherapie als kombinierte Anwendung von Bädern mit nachfolgender Sonnenbestrahlung oder künstlicher Bestrahlung mit einer UV-Lichtquelle ist ein altbewährtes Therapieverfahren zur Behandlung von chronischentzündlichen Dermatosen. Bereits in den Hippokratischen Schriften um 400 v.Ch. wird erwähnt, daß „Baden im Meerwasser gut sei für Leute mit jukkenden, beißenden Stellen der Haut“ [14]. Zu Zeiten des römischen Imperiums um die Zeitwende wurde dem Salzwasser des Toten Meeres im heutigen Israel heilende Kräfte nachgesagt, was dazu führte, daß die Römer diese Sole in großen Behältern nach Italien importierten [6].
