Zusammenfassung

Der photodynamische Effekt wurde bereits vor nahezu 100 Jahren im Wintersemester 1897/98 durch den Medizinstudenten Oscar Raab im Rahmen seiner Dissertation am Pharmakologischen Institut der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München entdeckt [115] und auch bei Patienten therapeutisch eingesetzt [67, 146]. Für onkologische Indikationen (Blase, Ösophagus, Lunge) ist die photodynamische Therapie (PDT) bereits in Japan, Kanada, USA und den Niederlanden zugelassen, nicht jedoch für dermatologische Indikationen. Dabei ist gerade in den vergangenen Jahren die Wirksamkeit bei der Behandlung von oberflächlichen Hauttumoren oder der Psoriasis ausführlich beschrieben und dokumentiert worden [24, 35, 37, 42, 76, 92, 109, 133, 139, 161].
