Protein Z is a vitamin K-dependent glycoprotein found in bovine and human plasma. Human protein Z is a Single chain protein of approximately 62 kDa and is synthesized in the liver. The molecular structure of protein Z is similar to that of factors VII, IX, X, and protein C.
