Zusammenfassung
It is well known that the type of treatment influences the State of the joints in haemophiliacs. A major improvement in the orthopaedic status of haemophiliacs occured with the introduction of treatment with factor VIII/IX concentrates in the 1970s; this was followed by prophylactic therapy, which many studies showed to be preferential for limiting joint disabilities in haemophiliacs.
