Zusammenfassung

Tissue factor pathway inhibitor (TFPI) wird nach Hemmung des Faktors Xa im nächsten Schritt im Komplex mit diesem zum Inhibitor des aktivierten Faktors VII. So ist TFPI zusammen mit Faktor Xa, Vlla und Thromboplastin (Tissue factor) ein endogener Inhibitor der extrinsischen Gerinnungskaskade und verlängert im Plasma die Gerinnungszeit.
