Abstract

The Paperless Office - Mere Fiction? The cliché of the paperless office is as old as it is false: The employment of computers in offices and homes enormously pushed paper consumption. While formerly a letter produced on a typewriter was certainly good enough, people nowadays demand elaborate DTP documents which have to be printed several times in order to try different fonts or to correct minor typos.
