Zusammenfassung

In einer von Groher u. Bukerman 1986 an zwei großen Lehrkrankenhäusern durchgeführten Studie zur Erfassung der anteiligen Inzidenz der oropharyngealen Dysphagie wurde nachgewiesen, daß insgesamt 13% der stationären Patienten an Schluckbeschwerden litten [5]. Da die oropharyngeale Dysphagie mit einer Vielzahl verschiedenartiger Krankheitsbilder einhergehen kann, sollten die Ärzte der meisten Disziplinen mit den manifesten Symptomen dieser Erkrankung vertraut sein.
