Abstract

Teucrium chamaedrys L. (= Teucrium officinale Lam. = Chamaedrys officinalis Moench.) belongs to the Lamiaceae. Vernacular names are common germander, wall germander (E); Gamander, Edelgamander (D); germandrée petit-chêne, germandrée chamaedrys (F) [1–3]. The plant part which is used medicinally is the flowering herb [3,4].
