Abstract

Scarcity of water has brought about a number of structural, behavioural, physiological and ecological adaptions in amphibians inhabiting seasonally xeric habitats. These have been discussed in previous chapters. I should now like to examine the information assembled here in an integrative way in order to determine whether new and fruitful avenues of research can be pointed out.
