Zusammenfassung
Das oberflächliche Urothelkarzinom der Harnblase zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Rezidivhäufigkeit aus. Etwa 70% der Patienten erleiden innerhalb von 2 Jahren nach Erstbehandlung ein oder mehrere Rezidive. Als Ursache hierfür ist eine kanzerogene Disposition des gesamten Urothels zu sehen. Folglich muß eine Behandlung des rezidivierenden Harnblasenkarzinoms eine integrale Therapie der gesamten Harnblasenschleimhaut einschließen. Als Standardverfahren zur Rezidivprophylaxe werden derzeit intravesikale Instillationen von Chemotherapeutika und BCG eingesetzt. Beim multifokalen, BCG-refraktären Harnblasenkarzinom besteht die Indikation zur Zystektomie [3].
