Abstract
The EURICUS-I substudy Patients and Facilities was aimed at making a survey of clinical activity in the ICUs and the physical environment in which those activities take place. The survey explored the differences in these characteristics between ICUs and aggregated groups of ICUs in Europe. The focus was on variables which maybe influential and representative of daily clinical activities in the ICUs from a medical perspective.
