Zusammenfassung

Transkription und Translation sind Prämissen jeglicher Proteinentstehung, wobei auch die pathologische Überproduktion von pro- bzw. antiinflammatorischen Mediatoren im Rahmen einer Sepsis durch diese Prozesse bedingt ist. Beim ersten Schritt, der Transkription, wird im Zellkern die Information der DNA auf einen mRNA-Strang übertragen, der dann als Grundlage für die Proteinproduktion an den Ribosomen dient [12]. Die Transkription wird durch Transkriptionsfaktoren reguliert, die innerhalb eines Promotorbereiches binden und somit die Expression derjenigen Gene modulieren, die vom Promotor aus kontrolliert werden [10].
