Abstract
The dynamic telecommunications sector has dominated the liberalization of network industries during the 1990s. This dominance of telecoms is not only because telecoms is an important sector in its own right, but also because newcomers from the energy sector and the railway systems intend to enter and — have already done so — the strongly growing telecommunications markets. This, however, is only one of the links between the three sectors.
