Zusammenfassung

In diesem Beitrag werden delirante, amnestische und andere Syndrome mit vorrangig kognitiven Störungen behandelt. Diese Syndrome sind in der ICD-10 unter den organischen psychischen Störungen (F0) klassifiziert. Für den speziellen Fall, daß sie als Folge von Alkohol- oder Substanzgebrauch auftreten, sind sie in der ICD-10 jedoch unter der Katego rie der psychischen und Verhaltensstörungen durch psychotrope Substanzen (F1) eingeordnet. Im DSM-IV bilden delirante, amnestische und andere Syndrome (zusammen mit der Demenz), die auf der Grundlage ihrer Ätiologie unterschieden werden, hingegen eine eigene Kategorie. Als Ursachen werden körperliche Erkrankungen (medizinischer Krankheitsfaktor), die Einwirkung einer (psychotropen) Substanz (hier sind z. B. Alkohol, Drogen oder Medikamentennebenwirkungen eingeschlossen) oder die Kombination mehrerer solcher Faktoren (multiple Ätiologien) aufgeführt.
