Zusammenfassung

Frakturen im Bereich des Kniegelenks, insbesondere des distalen Femurs, sind mit Ausnahme von Abrißkturen im Rahmenvon Bandverletzungen und abgesehenvon Patellafrakturen immer an eine starke Gewalteinwirkung gebunden. Sie ereignen sich am häufigsten als direkte Traumafolgen bei Verkehrsunfalien oder bei Sturz ausgroßer Höhe oder als indirekte Traumafolgen bei Gewalteinwirkung auf das gebeugte Knie (z. B. bei Verschiittüen).
