Zusammenfassung

Die Zylinderepithelmetaplasie mit Dysplasie im distalen Ösophagus stellt den wichtigsten bekannten Risikofaktor des Adenokarzinoms im distalen Ösophagus dar [7, 8]. Die molekularen Mechanismen der Progression von Metaplasie über Dysplasie zum invasiven Karzinom sind noch weitgehend unbekannt. Zur Zeit ist es nicht möglich eine Vorhersage zu treffen, welcher der Patienten mit Metaplasie, eine Dysplasie oder ein invasives Karzinom entwickelt.
