Abstract

Charge transport and optical conductivity spectra have been investigated for La 2−x−y Nd x Sr x CuO4 single crystals in the stripe ordered phase. The charge dynamics turns out to be basically metallic despite that nearly entire volume of sample is in the antiferromagnetically ordered, suggesting a spatially separation of the conduction paths from the spin domains. The charge dynamics also show a critical change upon increasingx across 1/8, and in the highly doped materials the superconducting order seems to coexist with the static stripe order. We argue that the dynamical stripe fluctuations may affect the charge dynamics in the Nd-free La 2-x Sr x CuO4.
