Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegende Arbeit stellt in kurzen Umrissen die wesentlichsten Merkmale der Active Node Technology (ANT) vor. ANT dient der transparenten Integration verschiedenster Nctzwcrkkomponcntcn und Services durch Generieren eines virtuellen Adreßraumes. ANT inkludiert dabei ein Naming- und Directory Service, Property Support sowie asynchrone und snchrone Kommunkation. Weiters werden neueste Designaspekte durch die Implementierung dynamisch generierter Services sowie der strikten Trennung von Daten und Strukturen berücksichtigt. Im zweiten Teil werden erste Erfahrungen mit ANT in diversen Projekten vorgestellt und ein Ausblick auf zukünftige Entwicklungen gegeben.
