Zusammenfassung

Der Morbus Crohn (Synonym: Enteritis regionalis; engl.: „Crohn’s disease“ „regional enteritis“) ist eine sich in Schüben manifestierende chronisch-entzündliche Krankheit, die diskontinuierlich segmental den gesamten Gastrointestinaltrakt befallen kann. Der Entzündungsprozeß beteiligt alle Darmwandschichten (transmural). Prädilektionsorte sind das Ileum, Kolon und die Perianalregion. Klinisch manifestiert sich die Erkrankung meist mit Bauchschmerzen, Diarrhö sowie durch ein oftmals komplizierend auftretendes Fistelleiden. Epitheloidzellige Granulome und fissurale Geschwüre sind kennzeichnende histologische Merkmale.
