Zusammenfassung

Die klinische Entität der bakteriellen Überbesiedlung des Dünndarms (sog. Blindsacksyndrom; in der anglo-amerikanischen Literatur: „blind loop syndrome“, „bacterial overgrowth syndrome“ oder „contamined small bowel syndrome“) umfaßt

  • eine bakterielle Überbesiedlung des Dünndarms in quantitativer Hinsicht,

  • qualitative Veränderungen der Bakterienflora und

  • eine Malassimilation von Nahrungsbestandteilen, insbesondere von Nahrungsfetten und Vitamin B12.
