Zusammenfassung
Als tropische Sprue und tropische Enteropathie bezeichnet man zwei Krankheitsbilder mit einem fortschreitendem Malabsorptionssyndrom, das bei Bewohnern bestimmter tropischer Regionen sowie bei Personen, die diese Gegenden besuchen oder besucht haben, klinisch manifest wird und in seinem klinischen Bild einerseits von der Dauer der Störung, andererseits von den körperlichen Reserven des Betroffenen wesentlich bestimmt wird. Ob es ich sich dabei nur um zwei Manifestationen des gleichen Krankheitsbilds handelt oder um zwei verschiedene Krankheiten, ist unklar.
