Zusammenfassung

Das Verhalten der Elemente in der Umwelt hängt entscheidend von ihren Bindungsformen ab. Neben den quantitativen Bestimmungen der Elementkonzentrationen in den verschiedenen Matrices ist daher auch die Aufklärung der Bindungsverhältnisse von allergrößter Wichtigkeit. Die unterschiedlichen Bindungsformen eines Elements werden als Elementspezies bezeichnet. Aufgrund dieser Zusammenhänge ist die Elementspeziesanalytik oder Elementspeziation (engl.: speciation) ein äußerst wichtiger Teil der aktuellen analytisch-chemischen Forschung.
