Zusammenfassung

Die Bilharziose der Harnblase oder die urogenitale Schistosomiasis ist eine Erkrankung, die durch den Blutparasiten Schistosoma haematobium hervorgerufen wird. Die adulten Würmer sitzen bevorzugt im venösen Plexus der Harnblase und verursachen in 50–70% der Fälle (WHO 1993), insbesondere infolge der Reaktion des Menschen auf die Eiablagerungen, krankhafte Veränderungen im Urogenitalsystem.
