Radialkompressoren werden bei kleinen Gasturbinen eingesetzt und sind in den meisten von Gasturbinen angetriebenen Kompressorsätzen die angetriebenen Einheiten. Sie sind ein integraler Teil der petrochemischen Industrie, wo sie einen weitverbreiteten Einsatz finden. Dieser beruht auf ihrem problemlosen Betrieb, der großen Toleranz fü Prozeßschwankungen und ihrer im Vergleich zu anderen Kompressortypen hohen Zuverlässigkeit.
