Abstract
Since 1973, we were looking for a reliable and easy osteosynthesis system for the different osteotomies we perform in the forefoot. These osteotomies are the great toe first phalanx osteotomy, the arthrodesis of the first metatarso-phalangeal joint, and the calcaneo-cuboi’d and the talo-navicular fusion. Screws, Kirschner wires or staples were used before, but were not provided a very reliable osteosynthesis, mostly in cases needing a strong fixation, as for example in shaft shortening of the great toe first phalanx or arthrodeses.
