Zusammenfassung

Ketotifen hat H1-antihistaminerge und „mastzellstabilisier-ende“ Effekte. Kontrollierte Untersuchungen haben gezeigt, daß es insbesondere bei sehr jungen, atopischen Patienten mit mildem Asthma einen therapeutischen Effekt haben kann. Es ist nicht effektiv bei mäßig starkem und schwerem Asthma bronchiale.
