Zusammenfassung

Die Entwöhnung von der Beatmung hat für den Intensivmediziner eine große klinische Bedeutung. Da die genaue Kenntnis der pathophysiologischen Veränderungen während der Entwöhnung Voraussetzung ist, um beim individuellen Patienten die verschiedenen Verfahren zu beurteilen, wurde die Pathophysiologie im ersten Teil dieser Übersichtsarbeit detailliert beschrieben [1]. Hierauf basierend, sollen im vorliegenden zweiten Teil die verschiedenen Kriterien und Strategien der Entwöhnung dargestellt werden.
