Abstract

The general objective of ALPTRAC was to investigate the occurrence, transformation and deposition of atmospheric constituents (primary and secondary aerosol species and associated precursor gases) within the high altitude environment of the Alps. To achieve this, four different but closely connected observational programs were placed in operation.
