Zusammenfassung

Bei Neugeborenen und Kindern hat sich in den letzten 10 Jahren die Einstellung zum Thema Anästhesie zur Schmerzvermeidung deutlich verändert. So ist es heute selbstverständlich, einem Neugeborenen im Falle einer Operation (z. B. Korrektur „Herzfehler“, Omphalocele, Spina bifida) eine Narkose zu geben. Bis vor wenigen Jahren war dies nicht der Fall.
