Zusammenfassung

Von Feyrter wurden in fast allen Organen disseminierte „helle“Zellen beschrieben, die — wie sich später herausstellte — neuroendokrine Charakteristika aufweisen. Tumoren des neuroendokrinen „Systems“ wurden erstmals von Lubarsch vermutet und als „Karzinoide“ bezeichnet und später von Oberndorfer — übrigens am Pathologischen Institut des Klinikums rechts der Isar in München — bezüglich ihrer Prognose als „karzinomähnlich“charakterisiert.
