In diesem Kapitel werden affektive Störungen beschrieben, die nicht zur Kategorie der majoren affektiven Störung gehören. Einige, wie etwa die Dysthymie, sind Bestandteil der offiziellen Nomenklatur geworden; andere, wie etwa die rezidivierende kurze Depression und die leichte depressive Störung, sind auch heute noch umstritten.
