Zusammenfassung
Das Nierenzellkarzinom kommt am häufigsten im 5. und 6. Lebensjahrzehnt vor. In der Regel handelt es sich um maligne entartete Epithelzellen des proximalen Tubulus. Männer sind doppelt so häufig betroffen wie Frauen. Maligne Nierentumoren machen ca. 1% aller malignen Tumoren aus. Ein bilaterales Auftreten — gleichzeitig oder metachron — kommt bei 2% aller Patienten vor. Die Ätiologie ist unklar. Zu Risikofaktoren und -gruppen s. Tabelle 35.1.
