Zusammenfassung

Trotz 25-jähriger kontroverser Diskussion ist der Stellenwert des unikondylären Gelenkersatzes nach wie vor umstritten. Anfang der 70er Jahre waren mit Ausnahme des lateralen Gelenkahschnitts (Insall iL Walker 1976) enttäuschende Ergehnisse veröffentlicht worden. Nach Weiterentwicklung der Operationstechniken und Instrumentarien liegen nun ermutigendere Ergehnisse vor.
