Zusammenfassung

Die Ähnlichkeit der Klinik zwischen Morbus Johne, einer granulomatösen Enteritis bei Wiederkäuern, verursacht durch Mycobacterium paratuberculosis, abdomineller Tuberkulose und Morbus Crohn zum einen und Hinweise auf eine erhöhte Durchseuchung der Crohn-Patienten mit Mycobacterium paratuberculosis hat eine tuberkulöse Ätiologie der chronisch-entzündlichen Darmerkrankungen seit Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts in der Diskussion gehalten. In diesem Artikel sollen wesentliche Argumente pro und contra zusammengefasst werden.
