Neue Forschungsergebnisse zur Clozapin-induzierten Agranulozytose

Zusammenfassung

Seit den ersten Berichten über das gehäufte Auftreten von Agranulozytosen unter Clozapin-Behandlung im Jahr 1975 in Finnland stellen medikamentös induzierte Blutbildstörungen auch für den Psychiater eine zwar seltene, jedoch klinisch wichtige Nebenwirkung dar. Insbesondere die frühzeitige Erkennung einer Agranulozytose ist für die betroffenen Patienten von vitaler Bedeutung, weil in diesem Fall ein sofortiges Absetzen des Clozapins und eine Zuweisung an eine entsprechende internistische Fachabteilung erforderlich ist.
