Abstract
Multidrug resistance protein (P-glycoprotein) is a 170-kDa membrane glycoprotein encoded by the MDR1 gene. P-glycoprotein (P-gp) is believed to function as an ATP-dependent efflux pump for various toxins [1, 2].
