Zusammenfassung

Leitlinien sind systematisch entwickelte Entscheidungshilfen für Arzt und Patient. I Leitlinien sollten von einer optimalen Behandlungsqualität ausgehen. Sie finden ihre Begründung in Situationen, bei denen eine hohe Variabilität der Behandlungsqualität besteht, wenn Maßnahmen mit fraglicher Indikation oder ohne Wirkungsnachweis zur Anwendung kommen oder bei unzureichender Verfügbarkeit begründeter Maßnahmen. In Anbetracht der zahlreichen Therapieoptionen bei Lebermetastasen war es das Ziel der Deutschen Krebsgesellschaft (DKG) in Zusammenarbeit mit der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Chirurgie (DGCH) Entscheidungshilfen für die Diagnostik und Therapie bei Patienten mit Lebermetastasen im interdisziplinären Expertenkonsens zu formuliereren (Kurzgefasste Interdisziplinäre Leitlinien 2000).
