Abstract
Based on the finite-size scaling property of the correlation ratio, we make a generalization of the probability-changing cluster (PCC) algorithm. With this generalized scheme, the direction for the application of the PCC algorithm is extensively increased. Using the generalized scheme, the two-dimensional quantum XY model of spin-1/2 and the two-dimensional fully frustrated XY model are investigated.
